China. The country of origin of tea. And today it remains the largest tea producer in the world. This is the home of our "Green Queen Sencha". Thousands of years ago, Buddhist monks were the first to cultivate tea and passed their knowledge on to subsequent generations. It is therefore not surprising that China has the largest variety of teas in the world. However, the Chinese matter very little. Because they drink most of their own tea. Mountainous – this is a characteristic of Chinese tea regions. The tea plants transformed into our exquisite green tea now grow on plantations on small farms. The harvest takes place from April to June. This is the length of time tea plants are exposed to the blazing sun. This gives the tea its characteristic taste. The tea leaves are almost exclusively picked by hand.
