Granola is very trendy. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone likes a crunch in the mouth and homemade granola coffee is also a real healthy energy boost - perfect for starting the day. In addition, it can be used in a wide variety of ways. Whether in yogurt, as a topping for the bowl or pure, with or without milk. It can even be added to a salad. Since you can use granola in different ways, you can also give yourself some freedom in its preparation. You're not a fan of nuts? Then simply use hazelnuts. Or don't you have buckwheat at home? No problem. Unsweetened cornflakes or puffed amaranth or quinoa are also fantastic ingredients for great granola. So: ready to give your yogurt or bowl a little boost? Then this recipe is made for you.

Preparation time

40 Mi40 minutesnuten

Ingredients

  • 200g oat flakes
  • 100g buckwheat
  • 30g nuts
  • 50g grated almonds
  • 50g sunflower seeds
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Approximately 60g of honey
  • 1 espresso (e.g. Red Espresso)
  • opt. 1 tbsp coffee beans

Preparation

Put all the dry ingredients in a frying pan and toast until lightly browned and starting to give off a scent. Next, prepare the espresso, mix it with the honey and add it to the granola. Those who are not against an intense coffee aroma can add crushed coffee beans. Finally, spread the mixture on a baking tray covered with parchment paper and then bake in the oven at 180 degrees for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Mix the granola in the meantime and watch the end of cooking so that the granola does not become too dark. Then let the granola cool completely. Coffee granola can even be kept for weeks in a tightly closed jar.
