It is the golden leader of black teas. And he lets it be felt during his harvest. In the northeast of India, in the state of Bengal. There, it grows in tea gardens near the town whose name it bears: Darjeeling. On the southern slope of the highest mountain range in the world: the Himalayas. Mountainous, cool, foggy. This is why the evergreen tea plant Camellia sinensis only grows slowly there. With smaller leaves, but particularly aromatic. Most of the time, women choose them carefully. And especially by hand. But the effort is worth it: first-rate quality and exquisite taste. This is what characterizes Darjeeling. A true luxury product. It is considered one of the best types of tea. And has the highest caffeine content.
